new release - juhu 0.6.5 - and you won't believe it - juhu comes now with a scrollbar, really cool, hah? just kidding. apart from the obligatory bug fixing, and some ui changes (nothing big), there are three new features
- adding and removing contacts
- basic growl support
- setting your iChat, Adium and Skype status to the recent post (take a look at the preferences)
juhu 0.6.5 can be downloaded here (via google 502kb). the complete source code is available at the google code page.

cheers mate!
You are the man. I love the client.
good to hear that you love it :) and maybe I am the man! just kidding, have a nice day.
I keep thinking I'd love to 'hide' read presence entries from the display. Currently there is the bold/non-bold display, but would be neat if things I've read would drop off the list after awhile of being read, would be a handy 'quick look at whats new' visual thing.
since you'd love it, I guess I have no choice, but to put this feature in, right? no seriously , sounds like a very reasonable idea to me - and therefore its on the list of things to do and most likely the next release will have it. :)
Most excellent :-)
I'd love to see an option to set the location through Juhu. Otherwise this little app is pretty perfect already. Great work!
Forget it. I just found that very unobtrusive little "from" input line. :)
possibly move the "remove icon" away from its current location. possibly to the left under the icon, or to the right - but somewhere where its not as easy to click by mistake when one clicks the comment icon :)
I love juhu, but you really need to able to click on links and such in the client. Now you have to go to the website to click on any links, so you might as well just use the website.
Also, on the website, you can see a Flickr pic when it is posted. In juhu, you see an unclickable line with a generic flickr icon.
I am about to leave twitter for jaiku, mainly based on the juhu client, but it would be great if these 2 features were added.
For several days 0.6.5 has only returned:
Updating jaiku stream failed.
juhu could not update the stream because the fetched data did not appear to be a proper rss feed or broken in some way. Therefore juhu was not able to parse the feed correctly, sorry.
I have set it to update "my contacts" every 60 seconds. If I change to "public one" then it updates.
Thought I would let you know.
thanks for all the input! In the next days I hopefully have enough spare time to write a few lines of code and put at least some of your requests and suggestions to an actual release.
I really do appreciate all your comments, so please keep on coming here. I know I didn't respond as quickly as I used to in the last days, but I was really busy. have a nice three day weekend. :)
